YOUR EMAIL SIGNATURE IS DOING YOU DIRTY

Don't fall for the Canva trap!!
At least not when it comes to your email signature.
I get it, they look pretty. But Canva creates visual email signatures which can only be linked to one single destination. People expect to be able to click your phone number and have it dial you. Or click your address and have it pull up in maps. Using an image means you only get to pick one place to send your clicks.

It's unlikely that the recipient is going to manually type in your website address or any other info you've added. This is a huge missed opportunity! Especially since email is responsible for 50% of all B2B leads generated.
Another issue is that some people don't allow external images in their email inbox. That means your pretty signature is now just a square and it looks like this 😭

Not your best look babes. But it gets worse. You can be a gray box if your email even ends up in their inbox instead of being marked spam. A Canva image signature could make the text-to-image ratio in your emails too low, which spam filters look out for.

Yes, it's a she. And not because I'm assuming their orientation - it's because it's always a woman who saves the day.
HTML signatures 🙌

Reasons she's the goat:
Everything can become a clickable link. From social media profiles to your appointment calendar and even promotions for events or products.
Avoid the spam filter with by having the right text-to-image ratio.
Avoid image blocking so you don't show up as a gray box.
You can still be cute and branded.
You'll look professional af.
GIRL, TELL ME HOW RN
I got you. There are plenty of paid options but that's not what this post is about.
I have tried and tested a TON of free generators and I have finally found the best. It is the most customizable platform I have ever come across. Enter: Signature.Email

The free account was plenty suitable for my needs but they also have a $19 single fee for an individual lifetime account (among other options). It's very easy to use but they do have a short tutorial video if you need it.
Two things to check when you make yours:
Send yourself an email and view it on mobile. Make sure everything fits properly and looks good.
Check it on light mode and dark mode. I had to add a slight white outline to my logo that's only visible on dark mode (but ensures my logo isn't half invisible).

Yes, Canva is cute. But she's useless when it comes to your email signature. Signature.Email isn't the only free option available but I swear I've never found one better.
Ok now go change your signature. Love you bye.
All of these opinions are the same words of wisdom I would share with my closest friends and family. There are no affiliate links and I receive no compensation for my recommendations. I don't look at SEO keywords - I just share knowledge. Because remember, this isn't a regular blog - it's a cool blog.
